Navy Reserve families enjoy information fair and picnic

Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) Moreno Valley conducted a Navy Reserve Family Readiness Day on July  19. The NOSC invited representatives from 14 organizations to set up tables for an information fair during the morning. NOSC reservists and their families learned about topics pertaining to the Command Ombudsman, Navy Legal, Veterans Administration, United Concordia Dental, Navy Region Southwest Reserve Component Command Psychological Outreach Team, Military One Source, TRIWEST, Life Stream, ITT Educational Assistance, USAA, Fleet and Family Support Center and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. 

Rear Adm. (sel) Mike Shatynski visited Family Readiness Day and spoke to the reservists and their families. 

Following the contributors' briefs, the families enjoyed a picnic. There was a dunk tank on loan from March ARB and ice cream. The commissary also conducted a case lot sale in the parking lot and donated gift certificates and other items for raffles throughout the day.
