An Airman with the New Zealand Air Force uploads pallets onto a C-130 with the help of 452nd Air Mobility Wing Airmen from March Air Reserve Base. Five members from the 452nd Tanker Airlift Control Element at March ARB went to Fort Polk, La., to participate in a Joint Readiness Training Exercise last month. They spent ten days training with two air movement crews from the New Zealand Air Force who were participating in simulated desert combat training scenarios. With the use of a C-130 from New Zealand’s Hercules aircraft fleet, the reservists from March helped train their international counterparts through various exercises to include day and night air drops and combat on-and off-loading. Under the JRTC training scenario, the TALCE from March was also receiving command and control training through a variety of separate scenarios being thrown at them.
