Annual holiday 'card lane' open for unit contributions Published Nov. 25, 2009 By 452 AMW 452 AMW MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, CALIF. -- The holiday greeting card lane at the main gate is set to return for the fourth year in a row, but coordinator Tech. Sgt. Neil Ballecer needs your help. The card lane is made up of unit-sponsored, holiday-themed, hand painted poster boards that, together, make a cheerful, festive display. The card lane is a joint effort between the Blue Eagles Total Force Honor Guard and Rising Six, who purchase and distribute the materials and post the units' final products at the gate. The Top Three will select the 2009 best card from the submissions. This year's cards will be on display until January 23. HOLIDAY CARD INFORMATION Artwork should be oriented portrait-style and created with lead-free, waterproof paint. Any embellishments need to be securely attached The backside of the poster should list the organization name, a point of contact and a telephone number Finished boards must be returned by the Dec. 13 deadline Materials can be picked up at building 433. The cost is $10 for each board and stake set There is no limit to the number of cards a single unit can contribute
