March Air Reserve Base, Calif. -- Airman & Family Readiness as sponsored thesecond Kids Understanding Deployment Operation System (KUDOS) here at March Air Reserve Base on September 9, 2018. The event took place in the historic district of the base where kids had the opportunity to go through a mock deployment line, receive combat war paint on their faces, and run through an obstacle course.
"We look forward to this every year," said Sean Dath, Navy veteran. "It really help my kids connect to the experiences I've had as a military member."
This years theme was Jumanji and Team March worked hard to provide the kids the look and feel of deploying to a jungle location. Each child was provided a uniform (t-shirts), military gear (school supplies filled with pack backs), combat zone (obstacle course with water balloons) survival kits (building a tent) and their own survival kit to take home.
