March Air Reserve Base is located in Southern California and is home to the Air Force Reserve Command's largest air mobility wing. In addition to the Air Force Reserve Command, March ARB is home to units from the Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve and Air National Guard.

The Group’s mission is to organize, train and equip aircrews to provide air refueling and strategic airlift any time, any place. The Group’s aircraft operate under widely varying situations ranging from small movements in battle to large movements over long distances.

The Group also has a medical squadron which augments joint forces with qualified, professional, aeromedical evacuation aircrews who provide medical care for sick and injured patients transported by air in peacetime and wartime.

The Mission Support Group provides home station services required for combat ready unit equipped air mobility wing to deploy and employ, including requirements for over 5,500 Reserve, National Guard and Active Duty members, bare base/tent city preparation and sustainment, load planning, personnel programs and training, information and communications, security, aerial delivery and first echelon deployment/redeployment support for I Marine Expeditionary Force.

Medical Group is responsible for handling all medical issues and the readiness of three Medical Squadrons: the 452nd Medical Squadron, the 752nd Medical Squadron and the 452nd Aeromedical Staging Squadron.

The mission of the 452nd Maintenance Group is to provide fully trained personnel in areas of KC-135 and C-17 aircraft maintenance to the 452nd Air Mobility Wing. These personnel maintain a high degree of readiness to deploy worldwide to support wartime and contingency operations, and operations other than war in support of national interests and objectives.
