Chief Master Sergeant TIMI C. BILAL

CMSgt Timi C. Bilal is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 452d Air Mobility Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, March Air Reserve Base, California. As Command Chief of the Air Force Reserve’s largest Wing, with more than 4,000 personnel, nine C-17As and 14 KC-135Rs, she advises the commander on operational readiness, training, discipline, health and welfare, quality of life, and the proper utilization and professional development of all enlisted personnel. She also monitors compliance with Air Force standards, ensures the commander’s policies are widely publicized and understood by the enlisted force, and serves as the functional manager for all assigned First Sergeants.

CMSgt Bilal enlisted in the Air Force in April 1991 under the delayed entry program and completed training in July 1991. Upon graduation from Health Service Administration technical school at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, she reported to the 42d Aeromedical Patient Staging Squadron at Norton AFB, California. In 1994, CMSgt Bilal relocated to March Air Force Base, California, as a Health Service Manager with the 452d Aerospace Medicine Squadron. Her career encompasses a myriad of roles in the health service management functions to include an assignment with a Numbered Air Force and deployment in direct support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM. Most recently, she was assigned as the Inspector General and Wing Staff Senior Enlisted Leader, 452d Air Mobility Wing, where she served as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the Inspector General focusing primarily on the wing, group and unit leadership, adherence to standards, personnel management programs, and readiness. Chief Bilal’s team assessed the readiness and regulatory compliance for over 30 unit and mission partners consisting of more than 3500 Airman. As the Wing Staff Agency Senior Enlisted Leader, she was the Wing Commander’s advocate and principal advisor pertaining to personnel matters.
