Scott Terra 452 AMW Public Affairs March Air Reserve Base, Calif. -- Members of the 452d Aerospace Medicine Squadron gathered at the post theatre Sunday, to celebrate the “pinning-on” of one of their own. Dr. Izuchukwu has served with the 452d AMDS since arriving from Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station in 2003. 452 AMW Command Chief Cynthia Villa narrated the ceremony with 452d AMDS CC Col Michelle Wagner acting as the presiding official. In attendance were Col Izuchukwu’s son, daughter, husband (via Skype) and family friend whom she considers a mentor. Distinguished Visitors included Col Paul Abson, Commander of the 452d Medical Group. Col Izuchukwu graciously thanked those in attendance, referring to them as her “professional village”. She also provided inspirational remarks in the form of detailing her journey from humble beginnings to the career highs that she has realized thanks to this country and the Air Force Reserve.
