March Field's newest resident, Stephanie Kuykendall, is ready to make an impact on quality of life here, as the Exchange's new general manager.

"I'm extremely excited to be at March," said Kuykendall. "Taking care of Airmen and their families is my number one priority. I will strive to ensure their needs are met every time they step foot in the Exchange."

Kuykendall was the Exchange store manager for the past four years. She has 22 years of experience with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, having served at several locations including Fort Hood, Texas, Bad Kreuznach, Germany and Keesler Air Force Base, Miss.

"Much like our customers, I have been on the move throughout my entire career," said Kuykendall. "I am anxious to implement best practices learned from previous assignments, here at the March Exchange, in order to provide a great shopping experience for our patrons."

By making the Exchange the customer's first choice, helps the entire March community. Part of the Exchange's dual mission is to generate earnings, which provides a dividend to support Air Force Services. In 2011, Airmen who dined and shopped at the Exchange, generated a dividend of $375,637.

"These funds are critical to Air Force Service's ability to enhance local programs and facilities," said Kuykendall. "As a result, the money that Airmen and their families used to purchase items at the Exchange, generated a healthy return by directly improving quality of life efforts."

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is a joint command and is directed by a board of directors which is responsible to the Secretaries of the Army and the Air Force through the Service Chiefs of Staff. The Exchange has the dual mission of providing authorized patrons with articles of merchandise and services and generating non-appropriated
fund earnings as a supplemental source of funding for military morale, welfare and recreation programs. To find out more about the Exchange history and mission or to view recent press releases please visit their Web site at http://www.shopmyexchange.com.
