THE TUMBLING BEAR RARELY UPRIGHT Published May 6, 2012 By 452 AMW 452 AMW MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, CALIF. -- Rob Harrison pops in and out of puffs of white smoke, spinning, diving and twisting through the air in a specially built monoplane and repeatedly contorting his body to resist up to eight times his body weight in pressure. You can see and meet The Tumbling Bear at March Air Reserve Base's AirFest 2012 on May 19 and 20. AirFest 2012 is open to the public and admission and parking are free. The base is located in Riverside County. Gates open at 8 a.m. and the first performance is at approximately 10 a.m. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be the highlight of the March Air Reserve Base air show. This will be the teams only Southern California appearance. AirFest 2012 will also feature performances by individual aerial acrobatics performers as well as military aircraft demonstration, historic aircraft performances and static aircraft displays.
