Senior Master Sgt. Eric Butt, Master Sgt. Phillip Pettaway and Master Sgt. John Shaal of March’s active duty 912th Air Refueling Squadron recently organized a golf tournament that doubled as a team building opportunity for the members of the base populace and a way to foster total force integration. The tournament was held at the General Old Golf Course in Riverside and forty people participated. Senior Master Sgt. Gerald Paine, Senior Master Sgt. David Stoutenburgh, Master Sgt. Matt Ghesquiere and Tech. Sgt. Jeffrey Harman were the members of the winning team. The 912 ARS donated a portion of the proceeds from the tournament to the Air Force Aid Society via the Combined Federal Campaign. Here, Captains Joshua Chambers, Thomas Bockrath and Rick Adams, all of the 912 ARS watch Capt. James Studer use a hockey stick to putt the golf ball into the hole. The use of non-standard putting tools was an element of the tournament. Other putting tools included a tennis racket, cue stick and a baseball bat.
