452ND OPERATIONS GROUP ASSUMPTION OF COMMAND Published Dec. 20, 2010 By 452 AMW 452 AMW MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, CALIF. -- Col. Mark Sigler assumed command of the 452nd Operations Group in a ceremony at the Cultural Resource Center. Colonel Sigler is replacing Col. Jeffrey Pennington who was selected to command the 911th Airlift Wing at Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station. Colonel Sigler is a graduate of Loyola University of New Orleans and he holds a Master's of Science in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle University. He is a KC-135 Stratotanker command pilot with more than 6,000 flight hours. Col. Sigler left the active duty Air Force in 2000. He was a traditional reservist at Grissom Air Reserve Base, Ind., before becoming an air reserve technician in 2002. Most recently, he was the 916th Operational Support Squadron commander at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C.
