Blue Eagles Honor Guard holds annual awards ceremony Published Oct. 17, 2010 By 452 AMW 452 AMW MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, CALIF. -- Did you know? - We average six ceremonies a day - We drive approximately 240,000 miles a year, covering 82,000 square miles of southern California - We have performed more than 1,500 military funeral honors this year - We participated in more than 200 ceremonial functions with 100% participation for on base ceremonies - Members receive an initial 40-hour training in honor guard basic protocol, honors, drill and ceremony, and wear of the honor guard uniform - Honor Guard personnel come from three bases: Los Angeles Air Force Base (24 members), Edwards Air Force Base (34 members) and March Air Reserve Base (25 members) - We receive additional support from the Army Reserve, Army National Guard and veterans service organizations Information compiled by Master Sgt.
