Major renovations on March Inn to begin in January Published Oct. 13, 2010 By Helen Holm March Inn MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, CALIF. -- A major renovation project for the March Inn will begin early January. Additional offices will be added and all Americans with Disabilities Act and other modernization requirements are included in the project. The March Inn heritage will be retained and the facility is expected to be stunning when completed. The project is anticipated to be completed in March or April of 2012. The project necessitates a temporary move for all the functions in the March Inn. December 1 is the target date for move. The front desk, lobby, business center and accounting department will move to Building 426 (next to the Fitness Center). Lodging management, including reservations, will move to a trailer in the parking lot adjacent to Building 426 (Building 426A). A restroom trailer will also be next to these facilities for guest and staff convenience. March Inn is planning on having a closed bid auction for each suite of furniture in early December. The sale will not include TVs or microfridges. More information will be available when moving dates are confirmed.
