The 'Golden Bolt' program Published Feb. 8, 2010 By 452 AMW/PA 452 Amw/PA MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, CALIF. -- The wing foreign object damage monitoring personnel place the golden bolt somewhere on the parking ramp or hangar area just prior to our weekly FOD walks, preferably in places where a person needs to be pretty observant to spot it. When one of our maintenance troops recovers it, they are recognized for their efforts to enhance the overall 452nd Air Mobility Wing FOD program. Recognition consists of an appreciation certificate from the 452nd Maintenance Group commander Col. Robert Stormes, along with a letter authorizing a two-hour pass for use on a UTA weekend.
