City of Beaumont and PASS team up to host free veterans' workshop Published Jan. 25, 2010 By Senior Master Sgt. Ionne Barnes-Joshua 452 AMXS MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, Calif. -- The city of Beaumont and Pass Area Supporting Servicemembers (PASS) wish to thank all service members and their families by hosting a free Veterans' and Family Workshop Jan. 30 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Beaumont Civic Center. This event is open to all veterans, their families and friends. They will answer questions regarding new programs, benefits, counseling, and recent updates or changes. Loma Linda Veterans Hospital, Riverside County Veterans Affairs, mental health professionals, Military OneSource and many other agencies will be present to explain the benefits they offer and answer any questions. Beaumont's local eatery will donate refreshments as a way to thank service members and their families for their selfless service. The March Air Reserve Base Joint Force Color Guard will be posting the colors for this event. The workshop is intended to upgrade general knowledge of any benefits available to veterans and their families and explore the many services through the different agencies and organizations that will be represented.
