Arriaga, 452 FSS, March ARB fold the flag to commemorate Sergeant Leyva's 22 years of service to the Air Force in the Cultural Resources Center Saturday, Sept. 19. Master Sgt. Leyva spent four years active duty at Hahn Air Base, Germany, took a year off and then joined the Air Force Reserve. She came to March in 1998 as a line recruiter and became one of only 25 health professions recruiters among a total of 300 Reserve recruiters. In FY 2000, she was recognized for her outstanding work and was awarded the prestigious Century Club Award, given to recruiters who exceed 150 percent of their enlistment goal. At the end of the ceremony, Sergeant Leyva addressed the crowd, telling them that she loved her job, all the people she met along the way and was happy that her family was able to come to her retirement ceremony.
