Global Medic Exercise Published July 25, 2009 By Megan Just 452 AMW/PA MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, CALIF. -- Global Medic is an annual medical exercise designed to replicate all aspects of combat service support on the battlefield and allow participating combat support units to train as they fight. As one of the largest medical command and control exercises between the U.S. Army Reserve and the U.S. Air Force Reserve, Global Medic serves as an effective means to train medical units and staff for real-world missions. The 2009 exercise was held at five locations across the United States from June 2 through June 20. March ARB units were key participants at Schoonover Air Field in Monterey County, Calif. and Castle Airport near Merced, Calif.
