The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is the central command and control authority behind every disaster. They provide strategic direction in the mitigation and recovery of the accident. Some one hundred disaster responders and injured actors participated in a mass casualty exercise held on the flight line at the base. Several local hospitals also participated in the exercise held at March Air Reserve Base, California. An emergency medical crew from Mercy Air airlifted simulated casualties. The exercise involved several community partners, such as Riverside EMS, AMR and Mission ambulance. (U.S. Air Force photo by 4th CTCS)
