(AFNS) -- Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force David Wolfe, and his wife, Dr. Doniel Wolfe, visited Joint Base Andrews on March 3. The CMSAF held an all-call to emphasize the Air Force's three priorities: readiness, modernization, and Airmen and their families. “It’s the job of every leader in this room, which means every person in this room, to convince those around you that what we do is important,” Wolfe said. During his visit, the CMSAF also took time to recognize four Airmen from across the installation for outstanding work in their units, emphasizing that every career contributes to the work of the force. Master Sgt. Bria Wilkins, 459th Operations Group logistics officer; Staff Sgt. Ethan Fields, 316th Wing financial operations technician; Staff Sgt. Joi Laws, 89th Airlift Wing communication squadron journeyman; and Staff Sgt. Alberto Matos Fernandez, 113th Wing Command Post journeyman, were all recognized as Airmen who display excellence in all they do. Wolfe spoke with each individual and assured them that the effects of their hard work can be tracked all the way to the front lines. The audience was given an opportunity to pose questions and concerns to the CMSAF, and many asked about the future of their respective career fields with the integration of artificial intelligence. Beyond tactical details, Wolfe encouraged all service members to consider how they interact with teammates and make a concerted effort to take care of each other. “What I’d like for you to do,” Wolfe said, “is think about somebody you know that needs some help … and in the next couple of days, go help them.” Before departing, the senior leader left Team Andrews with a final thought. “I want you to come to work every day and really know that you’re contributing to something bigger than yourself, and that you are entitled to outstanding leadership to get you there.” U.S. Air Force Logo
