452 AMXS maintainers save woman and infant from flood

The Inland Empire experienced a Southwest Monsoon that emptied more than 2.29 inches of rain in less than two hours, Aug. 30. March Field experienced impeded traffic flow due to floods caused by heavy rain and gusting winds. Staff Sgt. James Elson, 452 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, used his personal truck to tow a car carrying a woman and her infant child, that stalled while trying to cross a flooded street. Shown submerged in the floodwaters is Staff Sgt. Brian Segrist, trying to find a secure location to affix the tow cable to so that the stalled vehicle could be towed to safety.
