Original Tuskegee Airman Buford A. Johnson signs a poster for a woman during the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. Convention, San Antonio, Texas. TAI is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the accomplishments of African-Americans who participated in air and ground crew as well as operations support in the Army Corps during World War ll. Retired Master Sergeant Buford was featured in The Beacon in April, following his speaking engagement with more than 700 federal employees in Laguna Niguel, Calif.
