California Assemblyman Paul Cook, chair of the Assembly Committee on Veterans Affairs recently honored Lt. Col. Neil Kishi for his service at the Third Annual Veterans Recognition Luncheon in Sacramento. Each member of the committee selects an outstanding service member to recognize. Colonel Kishi, who lives in Moreno Valley, is part of Assemblyman Cook’s district. “As a pilot, Lt. Col. Kishi is a veteran to admire for his commitment to our country. He is a true representation of a service member who works to protect our country every day,” said Assemblyman Cook. Lt. Col. Kishi has served as mission commander for Operation Deep Freeze, as well as more than 30 combat missions. He is currently the Chief of Standards for the 729th Airlift Squadron.
