Frigo's Big Challenge

U.S. Air Force Reserve Senior Master Sgt. James Frigo, Sr., (left) and his son, James “Bubba” Frigo, Jr., depart from their home in Menifee, Calif., on a training ride May 15, 2010 with their brand new road bikes. Sergeant Frigo is the fuels superintendent with the 452nd Logistics Readiness Squadron at March Air Reserve Base, Calif. The two plan to ride across the United States to raise awareness about retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative condition Bubba was diagnosed with that leads to eventual blindness.
