DART: Dissimilar Aircraft Readiness Training

Staff Sgt. Sydney Reed (left), 446th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., listens to Lt. Col. Valerie Williams, a flight nurse from the 452nd AES, March ARB, point out instruments in the cockpit of a C-17 Globemaster III during egress training at the start of the DART at March ARB. DART is a quarterly exercise for Air Force Reserve Command aeromedical evacuation squadrons to provide the hands on training for the flight nurses and aeromedical technicians on aircraft they would not have regular access to at their home bases.
