Soil treatment system no longer needed at contaminated site

Two base contractors guide a crane-lifted tank onto a truck bed Sept. 22. The tank was part of the ground water and soil vapor extraction system that was installed in 1997. After cleaning an equivalent of 58,000 gallons of jet fuel, the system is no longer needed. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Megan Crusher)
