The 452nd Civil Engineer Squadron, March Air Reserve Base, Calif., completed a photovoltaic array project and began using it May 17, 2007. They broke ground for the project in June 2006. The solar panels have a capacity of 413.38 kilowatt-hours, sit atop two carports on the base and have a price tag of $4,576,753, which should be recovered in 10 years. (U.S. Air Force photo)
