Tornado at March Air Reserve Base

Thursday, May 22, was a very unusual day in the Inland Empire, with tornadoes and large hail. We have gentlemen in this weather station who have been here 20+ years and have never seen a tornado at March. There were officially three tornadoes, one to our southeast and the twins spinning around each other between Oleander and Van Buren on the I-215, which overturned a semi tractor trailer and several train box cars -- as reported by Mr. Mark Ditter, weather services supervisor for the base.
