Longest serving chief boom operator retires

Chief Master Sergeant Robert Dunning stands proudly as he receives the citation accompanying the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal presented by 336th Air Refueling Squadron commander Col. Mary Aldrian during his retirement ceremony at the Cultural Center. The Chief’s Air Force career began in 1977 and included a tour of duty with the 905th Air Refueling Squadron at Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota, and deployments to Saudi Arabia and activation for the Kosovo conflict which lead to him being stationed at Incirlik AB, Turkey. Chief Dunning leaves the 336th ARS as the longest serving chief boom operator in the unit’s history. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Joseph N. Davidson, 452nd AMW Public Affairs)
