CALIFORNIA AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION AWARDS
The California Air Force Association (CAFA) held its annual conference at Edwards AFB. During the conference, the association recognized active duty, Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard members assigned to California units who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication and mission accomplishment. The Military Awards Banquet was held on Saturday, July 26, at the Edwards AFB Club Muroc. The guest speaker was Maj. Gen. David J. Eichhorn, commander, Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB. Maj. Gen. Eichhorn was also recognized as CAFA’s “Person of the Year.” Air Force Reserve members from March ARB who received awards were (pictured from left to right holding their awards): Staff NCO of the Year, Master Sgt. Brian D. Sammons, 336 ARS; Field Grade Officer of the Year, Lt. Col. Mark S. Larson, 452 OG/CD; and Company Grade Officer of the Year, Capt. Lisa M. Hess, 452 AMDS.
