March ARB now has a Vanpool that picks up in Temecula
Master Sgt. Joseph Vitelli, 452 MXG/QA, adjusts his mirror shortly before picking up members of his Vanpool, Tuesday, for the ride home to Temecula from March ARB. The base took delivery of the brand new eight-passenger Ford E-350 van, Oct. 29, after Sergeant Vitelli and others gathered enough riders for the money-saving trip. The pool took its maiden ride on Monday. Sergeant Vitelli, the pool’s primary driver, said the van is full, but if more wanted to join, getting a larger van is possible. Mr. Craig Duehring visits March ARB
Mr. Craig Duehring, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, talks with Master Sgt. Jeff Johnson and Tech. Sgt. Tianna Yamauchi, 452 AMW, after the Town Hall meeting in the Cultural Resources Center, Wednesday. Mr. Duehring said he was proud to serve with the Guard and Reserve, and said he is impressed with the dedication of those members who give up weekends, family time, and take leave from civilian employment to accomplish the mission. He acknowledged that the budget will be a key issue next year, and the Air Force will have challenges ahead as our mission evolves. March Air Reserve Base was the last base he will visit during his tenure in his current position. (U.S. Air Force photo by SrA Desiree Economides)
