An employee unscrews the gas cap to a new electric government vehicle. These vehicles can drive up to 38 miles on pure electricity before a gas powered motor begins to generate electricity to power the engine. Employers flight: showing what we do
The 452nd Air Mobility Wing hosted its semiannual employers flight on Saturday. The purpose is to give the employers of Reserve members at March ARB a little taste of what the men and women in uniform do and to show the civilian employers the reservists appreciate their support. The group was welcomed and given a brief overview of the wing’s mission by the 452nd Operations Group commander, Lt. Col. Jeff Pennington, and then split into two groups for a flight on either a KC-135 from the 336th Air Refueling Squadron or a C-17 from the 729th Airlift Squadron. Afterwards, the reservists were able to show their bosses their individual jobs at March. For the first time, this employer’s flight was also open to the other branches of service who work at March. Employers receive red carpet, firsthand look at base
The 452nd Air Mobility Wing recently hosted a group of 41 civilian employers at the base as part of the annual Employers’ Orientation program. After the base mission briefing and the ESGR (Employers Support of the Guard and Reserve) discussion, the employers flew either on a KC-135, pictured, or a C-17. The program’s goal is to educate civilian employers and help them understand how they can support the military careers of their civilian employees who are members of the Air Force Reserve Command.
