Leadership Riverside 2010
The members of Leadership Riverside, Class of 2010, pose for a portrait in front of a 336th Air Refueling Squadron KC-135 Stratotanker at March ARB. Leadership Riverside is an annual course for mid and senior level executives from the City of Riverside. The goal of their visit to March was to explore the defense technology in the region and how the Inland Empire plays a role in homeland security. Despite the serious nature of the visit, the members of the group thoroughly enjoyed their visit, as depicted by Matthew Nelson (back right), a land use developer in San Bernardino, pretending to be sucked into the plane’s engine. The group toured the Defense Media Center; viewed one of the 163rd Reconnaissance Wing’s Predators; explored a 144th Fighter Wing F-16, a 336th Air Refueling Squadron KC-135 and a 729th Airlift Squardron C-17; and toured the Department of Homeland Security’s Air Marine Operations Center and Boeing’s C-17 simulator. The group also listened to briefings from the commanders of the Army’s 358th Civil Affairs Brigade, the Navy Operational Support Center and the Army’s 304th Sustainment Brigade.
