Farewell, Colonel Barnson
Colonel Jeff Barnson, 452 AMW vice commander, and his wife, Kelly, accept a going away gift from Brig. Gen. James Melin, 452 AMW commander, on behalf of the men and women of the wing during Col. Barnson’s farewell dinner at the Hap Arnold House on Saturday, June 13. Col. Rally ‘round the flag
Two scouts from the Boy Scouts of America, Venturer Crew 488, retire a flag during the eighth Rally ‘Round the Flag dinner at the March Field Air Museum. The event is sponsored by the Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee. Col. Jeff Robertson, Fourth Air Force director of staff and the master of ceremonies, provided flag trivia during the event. Guest speaker Brig. Gen. James Melin, 452 AMW commander, explained the significance of honoring the flag. The March ARB Total Force Color Guard opened the ceremony with the presentation of the colors and the Moreno Valley Master Chorale supplied the entertainment with patriotic melodies. 452nd AMW hosts Employer Appreciation Flights
A group of U.S. Air Force reservists’ employers recently gather next to a C-17A Globemaster III from the 729th Airlift Squadron during the Employers Flight at March Air Reserve Base. The flight is part of the 452nd Air Mobility Wing’s “Employer Appreciation Day” and is held twice a year. This gives the Air Force the chance to thank employers for their support of the military and allows employers an opportunity to understand the role their reservists play as Airmen in the U.S. Air Force.
